This unit has pedagogy as its central consideration. The interrelationships between curriculum construction, pedagogy and assessment are a key focus. The key concepts :
- Pedagogical knowledge
- Pedagogical content knowledge
- Disciplinary knowledge
- Inquiry and cross-disciplinary models
- Multi-modal and ICT based approaches
as critical influences on curriculum constructions and assessment methods are examined in depth. The unit will investigate current thinking about each of these issues and examine the implications for pedagogical decision making, curriculum design and assessment approaches within educational settings.

- Draw upon theory and principle to develop a practical framework for implementation.
