Additional details

• A 1 hour 500 word in class written test in mid semester [20%]
• A 10 minute oral debate (equivalent to 500 words) during semester [20%]
• A 1500 word reflective presentation due during semester [30%]
• A 1500 word written test due at the end of semester. This assessment includes a reflective component in addition to the task given to first year students whereby learners will be expected to critically reflect on intercultural dialogue taking into consideration the influence of late 20th century events on contemporary France. [30%]

Hurdle Requirement: Students must attend a minimum of 75% of tutorials in order to pass this subject. All pieces of written work must be submitted to pass this subject.

Note: Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10% per day and in-class tasks missed without approval will not be marked.
