Intensive individual lessons will focus on the further development of musicianship, awareness, imagination, creativity, skill, repertoire and current performance practice.
Intended learning outcomes
Upon completion of this subject students should
- Have the ability to demonstrate an advanced level of musicianship in the selection, preparation and presentation of repertoire, connecting research into musical materials and processes with the performance itself;
- Have a conversance with a range of musical styles, and the ability to place these alongside each other with a consistency of musical sympathy and enquiry;
- Have the ability to reflect upon their own experience as musicians and to discuss productively their own achievements and shortcomings.
