This subject extends the work undertaken in Minor Thesis (Music Therapy) 1. Students will implement the research project designed in Semester 1 and evaluate outcomes of the clinical work using either qualitative or quantitative paradigms. Tutorials will develop skills in the implementation of the project, data collection and evaluation, as well as development of appropriate writing and research skills.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Implement a minor research project adopting a qualitative or quantitative method;
- Show a command of research literature and relate this to the current project.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Compare and contrast research perspectives from objective and reflexive research traditions relevant to music therapy;
- Be able to plan and execute a minor research project in music therapy.
