Students will further develop instrumental, vocal or conducting technique and repertoire to a level appropriate to a fourth year of study and a sophisticated awareness of the stylistic and interpretative characteristics of the repertory studies.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of the subject, students should be able to:
- design a musically engaging recital program;
- demonstrate sustained artistic maturity in the preparation of recital repertoire;
- perform the component works of a program with musical understanding and communication; and
- display an assured level of instrumental or vocal craft appropriate to the level of the repertoire presented.
Generic skills
Students who have studied this subject should develop and enhance:
- problem solving skills
- skills in critical thinking and self-evaluation.
