Assessment
Additional details
- A draft discussion paper of 500 words (10%) due in week 4 of the semester.
- A critical reflective essay of 2000 words (35%) which will incorporate the draft above, due in week 8 of the semester.
- A take-home short essay assignment totalling 2000 words (35%) due during the examination period.
- The remaining 20% of total marks are (provisionally) assigned to student engagement in the subject, and this involves a fourth assessment task. It consists of the student group designing and running a political exercise to make a decision on whether this 20% will, or will not, be assigned to assessment of student engagement in tutorials and in this larger decision-making process.
- Hurdle requirement: Students must attend a minimum of 75% of tutorials in order to pass this subject. All pieces of written work must be submitted to pass this subject. Regular participation in tutorials is required.
- Note: Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10 marks per working day. In-class tasks missed without approval will not be marked.
