Working under the supervision of a staff member, a student will produce a substantive publishing project, equivalent to 5000 words of written assessment. The project will be part of a larger team publishing project led by staff. The subject coordinator's permission must be sought in order to enrol.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students should have:
- acquired additional practical experience and theoretical understanding of traditional and e-book publishing.
Generic skills
Students who complete this subject should acquire:
- additional research and written communication skills through professional writing and supervised discussion.

Eligibility and requirements
Prerequisites
Students must have completed PUBL90002 Editorial English with a final grade of 70% or higher. Alternatively, students must have completed PUBL90006 Writing and Editing for Digital Media or PUBL90010 Print Production and Design with a final grade of 75% or higher, in addition to having completed PUBL90002 Editorial English successfully.

Additional details
- A 1,000-word publishing proposal (20%), due mid-semester.
- A 4,000-word report, brief or media object (80%), due late in the semester, and directly related to the student's role in the team publishing project.
- Hurdle: Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of supervision meetings in order to pass the subject.
