Students must be in the final 100 points of their program, with a weighted average mark of H2A (75%) across their previous 50 points of study (or equivalent) prior to enrolling in the thesis.
Students need to submit a 300-word thesis proposal on a relevant topic for approval by the course coordinator at least 2 weeks prior to the semester of enrolment in the thesis. The subject coordinator can turn down the proposal (and thereby entry into the Minor Thesis) if the subject of the proposed Minor Thesis does not sufficiently align with the focus of the Master of Arts and Cultural Management.
Students need to take AMGT90029 Applied Research Methods (February or July Intensive as relevant) prior to their enrolment in the thesis.
Note: Students who were admitted to the Master of Arts and Cultural Management prior to 2017, but who are accepted for the minor thesis from Semester 1 2017 onwards, will need to take MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices during the first semester of their enrolment in the thesis, in accordance with course rules at the time of admission. Students may can request an enrolment variation to take AMGT90029 Applied Research Methods (February or July Intensive as relevant) prior to their enrolment in the thesis, in lieu of MULT50001.
