- Seven in-class Assignments, worth 50% (in total), conducted in groups of 3-4 students, each to be completed within a 3 hour workshop session. Preparation time of up to 6 hours for each workshop (including pre-reading and additional research tasks). All Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) are addressed in these assignments. Delivered throughout the semester starting from week 1. Workshops use both allocated and self-selected team assignments, with peer assessment employed to moderate individual grades
- One take home written report, conducted individually, worth 15%, and due in weeks 4-5 of semester, consisting of a maximum of 10 A4 pages (min 11pt font, single spaced, including any appendices, figures and tables). Overall time commitment of 15-20hrs. ILOs addressed in this assignment: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8
- One take home written report conducted individually, worth 10%, and due in weeks 7-8 of semester, consisting of a maximum of 6 A4 pages (min 11pt font, single spaced, including any appendices, figures and tables.) Overall time commitment of approximately 10-13hrs. ILOs addressed in this assignment: 1, 2, 3, 10
- One take home written report conducted individually, worth 15%, and due in week 10 of semester, consisting of a maximum of 10 A4 pages (min 11pt font, single spaced, including any appendices, figures and tables.) Overall time commitment of 15-20hrs. ILOs addressed in this assignment: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9
- One take home written report, conducted in groups of 3-4 students, worth 10%, and due in week 12 of semester, consisting of a maximum of 34 A4 pages for the group (page limit based on a group of 4, min 11pt font, single spaced, including any appendices, figures and tables.) Overall time commitment of 10-13hrs. ILOs addressed in this assignment: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12
