Additional details
- Two hour written exam (equivalent to 2000 words) held during the examination period (50%)
- Mid-semester test (30 min) for the language seminar component (equivalent to 500 words), week 5 (15%)
- Written work totalling 500 words for the cultural studies component during semester (500 words), throughout semester (15%)
- One essay of 300 words for the language seminar component (300 words), week 9 (5%)
- Two speaking tasks for the conversation seminar (500 words), one due in week 6 and one in class in week 11 (10%)
- An analytical film review for the language seminar component (200 words), week 11 (5%)
Hurdle Requirement: Students must attend a minimum of 75% of tutorials in order to pass this subject. All pieces of written work must be submitted to pass this subject.
Note: Assessment submitted late without an approved extension will be penalised at 10% per working day. In-class tasks missed without approval will not be marked.
