This subject will introduce Doppler echocardiography to complement basic transthoracic echocardiography imaging.

The completion of the subject, students should:

  • Understand principles of blood flow
  • Principles of Doppler and basic flow measurement techniques
  • Colour flow Doppler
  • Using Doppler to help grade valve lesions
  • Complete 40 case reviews
