This subject will identify the role of ultrasound and specific clinical situations relevant to perioperative and critical care practice.
Topics include:
- Clinical Applications- Persistent Hypotension
- clinical applications-Acute Pulmonary Oedema
- High-Speed Deceleration Injury
- Unexplained Sepsis
- Stroke
- Echocardiography for Cardiac Transplant Surgery
- pericardial Tamponade
- Epiaortic Echocardiography
Intended learning outcomes
The completion of the subject, students should:
- Understand multiple clinical applications such as persistent hypotension, acute pulmonary oedema, high-speed deceleration injury, and unexplained sepsis.
- Understand echocardiography cardiac transplant surgery
- Understand pericardial tamponade
- Understand the effects of ventilation on echocardiography
- Complete 20 case reviews.
