In this subject students are able to further extend technical and creative knowledge through studio-based design projects.
Students may also have the opportunity to be assigned to placements on productions mounted either within or beyond the Victorian College of the Arts. The placements introduce the student to the complexity of the production process in areas that they may not be familiar with and to the collaborative nature of the work within the different fields of performance.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course students will have developed:
- develop design concepts through rigorous design processes;
- utilise appropriate techniques to communicate designs for live performance;
- apply design processes and principles to develop complex design concepts for live performance;
- perform research in an effective and organised manner for the purposes of designing for live performance.
