Structure
100 credit points
MAJOR
The BA major in English and Theatre Studies consists of eight 12.5-point subjects:
Level 1
Two subjects / 25 points
- one level 1 English and Theatre Studies subject and
- one Arts Foundation Subject (this can count towards major credit points for a single major) or
- one additional level 1 English and Theatre Studies subject (for a double major). See Arts Foundation Structure page for further information.
Level 2
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Three level 2 English and Theatre subjects
Level 3
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Compulsory capstone subject ENGL30002 Critical Debates
- and two level 3 English and Theatre subjects
Total 100 points
Note: Level 1 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 2 subjects; level 2 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 3 subjects. Only students completing a major in English and Theatre Studies can enrol in the capstone subject.

MINOR
The BA minor in English and Theatre Studies consists of six 12.5-point subjects, totalling 75 points and comprising:
Level 1 (25 points)
- one Level 1 English and Theatre subject (12.5 points)
- one Arts Foundation Subject (12.5 points)
Level 2
- 25 points of level 2 English and Theatre subjects
Level 3
- 25 points of level 3 English and Theatre subjects
Total 75 points
The capstone subject is not available to students completing the minor or as breadth.
