Structure
100 credit points
MAJOR
A major in Geography consists of eight x 12.5-point subjects:
Level 1
Two subjects / 25 points
- GEOG10001 Famine: The Geography of Scarcity
- and one Arts Foundation Subject (this can count towards major credit points for a single major) or
- One additional level 1 Geography subject (for a double major). See Arts Foundation Structure page for further information.
Level 2
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Three level 2 Geography subjects.
Level 3
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Compulsory capstone subject; choose from capstone options and
- Level 3 Geography subjects - the credit-point value of the capstone subject will determine whether one or two level 3 subjects can be chosen.
Note: Level 1 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 2 subjects; level 2 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 3 subjects. Only students completing a major in Geography can enrol in the capstone subject.

Minor
The BA minor in Geography comprises 25 points at each of year level one, two and three.

At level one students must complete GEOG10001 Famine:The Geography of Scarcity, plus one Arts Foundation subject if you are completing a major or a minor, a total of 25 points.
