Structure
100 credit points
MAJOR
A major in Screen and Cultural Studies consists of eight x 12.5-point subjects:
Level 1
Two subjects / 25 points
- One Arts Foundation Subject (this can count towards major credit points for a single major) and one of
- SCRN10001 Introduction to Screen Studies or
- CULS10005 Media, Identity and Everyday Life

Level 2
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Three level 2 Screen and Cultural Studies subjects.
Level 3
Three subjects / 37.5 points
- Compulsory capstone subject CICU30012 Contemporary Film and Cultural Theory and
- Two level 3 Screen and Cultural Studies subjects.
Total 100 points
Note: Level 1 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 2 subjects; level 2 subjects must be successfully completed before progressing to level 3 subjects. Only students completing a major in Screen and Cultural Studies can enrol in the capstone subject.
