This subject will examine the role of genomics and precision medicine in pharmacological therapies, using examples of emerging treatments for a variety of genetic conditions. It will introduce students to the principles of genomic variant curation and interpretation in a clinical setting.
Intended learning outcomes
At the completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an ability to interpret human genomic information in a clinical setting
- Discuss the value of genomic testing in management of disease
- Illustrate the relevance and utility of advances in technology to a particular healthcare setting.

Prerequisites
Students must have completed GENE90001 Human Genetics and Genomics in Healthcare to H2B (70%) and GENE90002 Clinical Genomics to H2B (70%) or equivalent
