The ASWEAS Guidelines set out by the AASW require social work students to undertake their placement without a break (AASW Guideline - Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards). Students must therefore undertake placement offerings in sequential offerings to fulfill accreditation requirements.
The placement subject should be completed in the following order: SCWK90050 (May) and SCWK90051 (June).
Students unable to enrol in the above pairing will require approval from the subject coordinator to enrol in another study period.
Note: Before being allowed to commence a student placement, all students must satisfy certain pre-placement requirements found at: https://mdhs.unimelb.edu.au/study/current-students/placements. This should be completed at least 4 weeks before the placement period.
