This subject introduces students to areas of professional practice and equips them to navigate a journey through the profession and develop a career as a portfolio artist. It prepares students for diverse pathways in dance through developing skills in auditioning, writing pitches, maintaining work/life balance, budgeting, formatting a CV, editing a creative portfolio, applying for funding and grant-writing. Creative employability is mapped through pathways into company work, independent project-based work or further postgraduate study. Guest lecturers from the dance industry provide insights and inspiration.
