This subject explores a range of performance and devising tools, processes and methodologies.
Students will work individually and collaboratively in ongoing classes in Voice, Movement, Devising Practice Text in Performance to expand and extend range and flexibility as performers. Individual tasks, including interpretative, generative and reflective tasks and journaling are introduced.
In applying technical skills to creative exercises, students will develop their performance and devising skills and develop skills in reflective practice.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- demonstrate the successful use of movement, voice, devising and performance skills and techniques;
- advance knowledge of performance styles and devising processes;
- reflect on the development and progress of movement, voice, devising and performance skills and techniques;
- apply a professional working ethos in autonomous and collaborative work and in communication with staff, industry and peers.
