This subject continues from Animation Lab 1, focusing on relationships and interactions between the design of sound, music and the animated image. Notation and visualising of the relationship of animation and music is examined in the design and production of animation. Students will be exploring and creating sound and animation as equal contributors to animation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- review and evaluate sound design of existing productions;
- create notation and visualisations for sound design and animation;
- apply creative and technical skills in preparing sound design for animation;
- identify and interpret the relationship between sound and animation to devise new work;
- plan and design sound design for animation productions.
