Students will undertake this subject as a practical work integrated learning experience with a professional orchestra.
Through involvement with the orchestra’s rehearsal and performance schedule, students will develop orchestral performance skills and professionalism.
This subject is only available to Master of Music (Orchestral Performance) students. Enrolment into this subject is by Permission of the Course Coordinator.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- demonstrate the basic skills required to perform as a member of a symphony orchestra;
- demonstrate appropriate etiquette in rehearsals;
- apply performance styles required for repertoire performed;
- evaluate performance practice for works studied;
