Structure
200 point program
Duration: 2 years full-time / up to 4 years part-time
Coursework Only Option:
- four compulsory subjects (50 points)
- one Foundation core subject (12.5 points) (must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)
- Foundation elective subjects (maximum of 37.5 points) (must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)
- graduate elective subjects (maximum of 100 points)
or
Minor Thesis Option:
- four compulsory subjects (50 points)
- one Foundation core subject (12.5 points) (must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)
- LING90010 Applied Linguistics Thesis (25 points)
- Foundation elective subjects (maximum of 37.5 points) (must be taken in the first 100 points of the program)
- graduate elective subjects (maximum of 75 points)
Capstone Requirement:
All students are required to complete the Capstone Requirement for the program (25 points). Students must complete the relevant capstone option for their specialisation -
Capstone Stream 4: LING90003 Research in Applied Linguistics (12.5 points) or LING90005 Quantitative Methods in Language Studies (12.5 points) and LING90009 Language Testing (12.5 points)
Purpose: An opportunity to integrate knowledge and research skills within the Language Testing specialisation
