The Research Report involves a two-semester program of study, to be taken over two consecutive semesters of study. The Research Report is supervised and each student will be allocated an adviser. Students will be required to conduct and present the results of an independent piece of research in decision, risk and financial sciences.
Note: Students must enrol in this subject in two consecutive semesters.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Develop a research question in the area of decision-making in the face of uncertainty and complexity;
- Design and implement an appropriate experimental protocol with human participants;
- Analyse the experimental data with the appropriate statistical tools in view of the research question;
- Effectively communicate the results both orally and in writing.
