Intended learning outcomes

In addition to the learning outcomes of the Master of Civil Engineering, students should:

• Design and assess structural systems using knowledge in advanced structural engineering domain including high rise structures, earthquake resistant design of buildings, structural dynamics, structural modelling and geotechnical applications (which contain integration of structural engineering with geotechnical engineering)
• Apply civil and structural engineering management knowledge including economics, legal liability, intellectual property, and ethics on civil and structural engineering projects
• Develop research principles and methods in the field of structural engineering
