In this course we will explore what leading firms are doing in response to changes affecting the discipline of marketing communications.
You will learn the concepts and techniques of contemporary communications, including design, planning and implementation. You will develop fundamentals of how to manage multiple media, stakeholders, digitalisation and new technologies like artificial intelligence.
Throughout the course, we will consider the issues that arise in planning, implementing, assessing & controlling communications strategies across multiple media (both traditional and online channels).
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Consider the evolving role of marketing communications within modern organisations and in times of artificial intelligence.
- Develop an appreciation for how marketing communications function in the contemporary organisational environment.
- Understand important concepts, economics, processes & managerial frameworks of marketing communications.
- Develop experience in assessing risks and opportunities for marketing communication strategies & tactics in a range of settings.
- Craft a brand-centric, integrated marketing communications campaign
