About this course
Intended learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a critical approach to the appraisal of research work;
- Illustrate skills to identify and prioritise issues in health research and practice;
- Apply a range of epidemiological and biostatistical theory and methods; and,
- Implement business and communication skills that are relevant to the workplace.
Generic skills
- Communication: The ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Critical thinking: The ability to think independently and critically
- Problem solving: The ability to identify and solve problems
- Analysis: The ability to analyse information and data
- Research: The ability to initiate, design, and conduct research
