The subject has been designed and developed for online delivery and assessment only.
Imagine a world without creativity – without art, scientific breakthroughs, innovative technologies, or new ways of thinking. How would we solve problems, adapt to change, or shape the future? Creativity is the catalyst for innovation, the spark that drives progress, and the key to original thinking across domains. But what is creativity? How does the creative mind work? And can we nurture it in ourselves and others?
This subject explores the fascinating science and psychology of creativity. From natural abilities to environmental influences, this subject will investigate the factors that shape creative thinking while encouraging you to reflect on your own development. Through videos, readings, and peer discussions, you will uncover strategies to optimise your personal growth and creative potential across a wide range of disciplines.
This fully online, asynchronously delivered subject is designed to foster your divergent thinking skills and equip you with the tools to understand, cultivate, and apply creativity in ways that enrich your studies, work, and life.
