Dancing the Dance 3: Solo Moves invites students to deepen their dance practice through the creation of solo work. Building on skills developed in Dancing the Dance 1 or through prior dance experience, this subject supports students in developing their own choreographic voice and distinctive movement vocabulary.
Through a combination of technique, movement design, improvisation, and rehearsal processes, students will explore personal approaches to dance-making and learn how to shape and refine their ideas into fully realised solo pieces. Each student will create and present an original solo, capturing their work on video and applying basic editing techniques to produce a personal documentation that reflects their evolving creative practice.
