Students will be required to write a thesis of 20,000 words on a topic approved by the supervisor. Students will also write a research proposal and give two oral presentations on the research.
Korean Studies Thesis Part 1 and Part 2 must be completed consecutively.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Review research and professional literature concerning Korea
- Design and conduct original research
- Critically appraise major issues and sensitivities regarding Korea
- Engage with debates on issues on Korea where appropriate
- Articulate their findings and views in oral and written presentations.
