A minor thesis of 12,000 words on an approved research project.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Design, develop and carry out a research project in Applied Linguistics
- Critically review existing research, and conduct data collection and analysis, in the field of Applied Linguistics
- Communicate concepts and arguments about linguistics effectively, in oral and written form.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Develop research skills
- Enhance critical thinking and analytic skills
- Communicate a complex research argument through writing.
