To obtain the Biomedical Biotechnology specialisation students need to complete one of the following three streams within the specialisation:

Biochemistry stream

  • 50 credit points of Biochemistry stream core subjects

Microbiology and Immunology stream

  • 37.5 credit points of Microbiology and Immunology stream core subjects
  • 12.5 credit points of Microbiology and Immunology stream elective subjects

Pharmacology stream

  • 25 credit points of Pharmacology stream core subjects
  • 25 credit points of Pharmacology stream elective subjects
