CHINESE STUDIES 1 ENTRY POINT

Chinese Studies 1 entry point - Level 1

Students completing a Chinese Studies Diploma with a Chinese Studies 1 entry point are required to complete the following subjects (25 points).

Chinese 1 and Chinese 2 were formerly called Chinese 1A and Chinese 1B respectively

Chinese Studies 1 entry point - Level 2

Students completing the Chinese Studies Diploma with a Chinese Studies 1 entry point are required to complete the following subjects (37.5 points).

  • CHIN20001 Chinese 3, CHIN20002 Chinese 4 (25 points) and;
  • One of CHIN20010 Chinese in Context 1 or CHIN20011 Chinese in Context 2 (12.5 points)

Chinese 3 and Chinese 4 were formerly called Chinese 3A and Chinese 4A respectively

Chinese in Context 1 and Chinese in Context 2 were formerly called Chinese 3B and Chinese 4B respectively

Notes

A major in Chinese Studies entry point 1 constitutes 125 points. Students in the Diploma can only complete 100 points and may be able to take the further 25 points in their degree program, pending on capacity and course requirements.
