Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education (GD-CLINED)

The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education is designed to meet the unique learning needs of educators in clinical contexts who wish to extend their understanding of learning theory. This course is aimed at clinical educators in all health-related disciplines and academic and/or clinical settings. 

Building upon the foundation knowledge introduced in the Graduate Certificate of Clinical Education, the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Education delivers a deeper understanding of the principles of clinical education for those who develop clinical teaching and assessment activities rather than just participate in them. A focus on ensuring that participants are evidence and research-driven in their clinical education activities brings a level of opportunity to deepen knowledge in areas that most apply to current teaching roles, or to broaden their skills and interests in order to take on new challenges. 

The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education is designed as the next step for those who not only do the teaching but are involved in the planning and development of clinical education.  On successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, graduates will be regarded for their commitment to clinical teaching and have the pre-requisite skills and knowledge to progress to advanced study.
