Master of International Business (MC-IB) // Entry and participation requirements
About this course
Entry requirements
To be considered for entry into this course, applicants must:
- Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) or equivalent in any discipline.
All degree levels referenced align with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), the national policy guide for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. Applications will be assessed against these standards.
English language requirement
Applicants must satisfy the University's English language requirements. Level 1 English scores are required for this course.
Selection Methodology
When assessing and, where relevant, ranking applications, the Selection Committee will consider:
- Prior academic performance.
The Selection Committee may seek further information to clarify any aspect of an application in accordance with the Selection and Admission Policy.
Meeting the minimum entry and English language requirements does not guarantee selection.
Notes
- Graduate Access Melbourne applications will be considered for this course.
Exit award information
Students who discontinue from the Master of International Business but have successfully completed the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in International Business or the Graduate Diploma in International Business will be eligible to receive the Graduate Certificate in International Business or the Graduate Diploma in International Business, respectively, as an exit award. The Certificate and the Diploma are only available as exit awards.
Advanced standing information
Applicants with a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a business/commerce or related discipline may be awarded up to 50 points of credit.
Pathway information
For those applicants with a bachelor degree (AQF7) in any discipline who are assessed as not meeting the University of Melbourne WAM-equivalent requirement for entry into the Master of International Business, a place in the online Graduate Certificate in Business may be offered.
Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Business with a minimum average WAM of 70%, and no failed subjects, provides a guaranteed pathway into the 200-point Master of International Business.
Advanced Standing for subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate in Business will be provided where subjects undertaken align with equivalent foundation subjects to be completed as part of this degree.
