About this course
Exit Award
The Graduate Diploma in Public Health an Exit Award for the parent course Master of Public Health (MC-PHMO) and does not have a direct intake or enrolments. Students are admitted to the Master of Public Health.
Students who are unable or who choose not to continue with their studies in Master of Public Health may decide to exit the course with the award Graduate Diploma in Public Health.
One of the two options below must be satisfied, with all subjects completed and ratified for the student to be eligible for the exit award:
Option 1
Five core 12.5 credit point Master of Public Health subjects (POPH90312 Foundations of Public Health, POPH90313 Prioritising & Planning in Public Health, POPH90314 Qualitative Research in Public Health, POPH90316 Epidemiology 1, POPH90317 Biostatistics) and three Master of Public Health 12.5 credit point elective subjects of the student's choosing.

Option 2
If an exemption is granted for POPH90312 Foundations of Public Health then students must complete four core 12.5 credit point Master of Public Health subjects (POPH90313 Prioritising & Planning in Public Health, POPH90314 Qualitative Research in Public Health, POPH90316 Epidemiology 1, POPH90317 Biostatistics) and four Master of Public Health 12.5 credit point elective subjects of the student’s choosing.
Eligible students submit an Application for Exit Award to the Enrolments and Results Team who assess and action eligible requests for exit awards for graduate programs.
Students apply online using the Application for Exit Award form.
