Option 1: Group Project
As part of a small group, students will identify a wicked development problem and continue to conceptualise, design and develop an appropriate leadership response to solve that problem.
Assessment will consist of:
- Peer review component (1500 words/10%)
- Individual contributions and reflections (4500 words/30%)
- Project Proposal Group Submission (1500 words/10%)
- Final Project Report Group Submission(7500 words/50%)
Students must pass all pieces of assessment to pass the subject
Option 2: Individual Dissertation
Students will identify, conceptualise, design, and conduct a small research project and report it in a dissertation of 15000 words. Dissertation research is an individual project aimed at delivering an impactful contribution on a topic related to leadership for development.
Assessment will consist of:
- Research Project Scope/Design Proposal (3000 words/20%)
- Dissertation (12000 words/80%)
Students must achieve an overall final grade of 60% equivalent or more to pass the subject
