This subject focuses on connecting theory to evaluation practice. Topics include: evaluation-specific tools and methods; planning, conducting and managing evaluations; stakeholder engagement strategies; and evaluation reporting.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- Apply evaluation theory to designing and conducting an evaluation
- Assess quality in evaluation practice

Recommended background knowledge
Students who successfully engage in this subject are familiar with (i) evaluation fundamentals, including its basic theory, nature and purposes, language, and logic; and (ii) research fundamentals as they apply in evaluation. Completing EDUC90850 Foundations of Evaluation and EDUC90848 Applied Research for Evaluation or EDUC90713 Program Evaluation: Forms and Approaches before or concurrently with this subject is recommended.
