This subject progresses from Animation Lab 2 to investigate, experiment and apply methods of animation production to screens in galleries, public spaces, live performances and contemporary screen contexts.
Students create individual and group devised concepts and examples of works for 'other' screens that are new and emerging screen contexts for animation.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- identify new and emerging screen contexts for animation;
- plan, develop and manage a projection art production;
- critique, evaluate and apply feedback to projection art production and exhibition;
- apply creative and technical requirements for projection art;
- create animation for new and emerging screen contexts.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- communicate in visual form;
- apply lateral thinking and problem solving techniques;
- apply practical knowledge to practical problems.
