This subject advances students’ knowledge and skills in animation through working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
Students will develop, plan, budget, and manage projects and concepts that apply animation skills to interdisciplinary productions.
The subject expands students’ knowledge of professional animation business and entrepreneurial skills necessary to support sustainable career development and application of animation skills.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- apply animation skills in a collaborative interdisciplinary production;
- demonstrate communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative interdisciplinary production;
- employ leadership in the initiation, development and management of a collaborative interdisciplinary production;
- critically evaluate animation production outcomes;
- identify animation career development pathways that exist in collaborative professional settings.
Generic skills
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- give and receive constructive feedback;
- engage in rigorous and respectful debate;
- work as part of a team to achieve a common goal;
- respond openly and imaginatively to new ideas.
