In the subject, the student will learn about basic ultrasound assessment of pregnant women, and for gynecological emergencies, as well as completing a logbook of 20 clinical cases.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Learn the principles of basic obstetric examination for emergency medicine
- Learn how to conduct basic obstetric examination during the first, second, and third trimesters
- Learn how to integrate ultrasound examination into obstetric emergencies
- Learn how to perform basic gynaecological ultrasound examination for emergency medicine
- Learn how to use ultrasound examination in the management of gynaecological emergencies
- Practice interpretation on online case studies
