Formative assessment of multiple choice questions following each tutorial; One hour total assessment: equivalent to 1000 words assessment.

Formative assessment - Interpretation of case studies assessed by structured questions pertaining to each case. Two hour total assessment time; Equivalent to a total of 2000 words assessment.

Formative group activity. Groups of 4 students will discuss cases that they have been involved with and create a structured group report on the problem, evaluation and solutions. Four cases per group, with all students receiving the same mark for the group report

Self-reflective e-portfolio of cases that the student has managed or been involved in patient care in perioperative medicine – 6 cases. 0.5hr total assessment time: equivalent to 500 words.
