Students will learn how to interpret focused clinical ultrasound assessment of early pregnancy problems and pelvic pain and how to write an interpretive ultrasound report. Students will critically interpret and write a report on 10 online focused early pregnancy and basic gynaecology ultrasound studies.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Describe the indications, uses and limitations of focused clinical ultrasound in assessment of early pregnancy problems and pelvic pain.
- Interpret and write a structured interpretive report of focused clinical ultrasound for early pregnancy problems and pelvic pain.
- Evaluate the requirements for training, competence and certification in early pregnancy and basic gynaecology ultrasound.
