A supervised thesis on a topic to be approved by the School's honours coordinator. Students will be required to attend weekly seminars and present a class paper based on their thesis topic.
Intended learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this subject should be able to:
- Gain experience in the production of a sustained piece of philosophical writing
- Contribute towards the solution of the selected question
- Explore the literature relevant to the thesis topic
- Conduct comprehensive research in the field of philosophy
- Effectively communicate their philosophical ideas through clear, concise writing and articulate oral presentations.

Students who successfully complete this subject should be able to:
- Think critically
- Analyse and evaluate concepts, theories, and arguments
- Develop and present arguments for or against a position
- Consider multiple viewpoints and arguments for those viewpoints
- Articulate ideas, concepts, and interpretations with clarity and coherence
