Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) - Japanese

Intended learning outcomes

Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) in this area of specialisation should:

• be able to discuss a wide range of current issues in Japanese;
• appreciate language styles and major points of selected readings in Japanese;
• demonstrate an understanding of Japan and contemporary Japanese society; and
• write a thesis of 15,000 words, comparable with that appropriate to an Honours degree.
