Intended learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this subject should:
- Understand the drug development pathway and its link to clinical research
- Understand the role of the research coordinator in clinical research
- Understand the purpose and role of regulatory documents for initiating and running a clinical trial
- Understand the purpose and operational responsibilities of a research coordinator in maintaining the quality standards defined by Australian legislation and Good Clinical Practice

To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted in N01AA, N34AA, or GC-CRCOORD. This subject is not available for students admitted in any other courses.

Assessment
Additional details
- Open book test representing, completed at the end of the first week of lectures, (20%)
- 2 x 1,000 word assignment, (25% each - combined total 50%)
- 1,500 word workplace assignment, (30%)
Each written essay is submitted progressively through the semester.
Hurdle Requirement: A minimum score of 50% in each assessment is required for a student to pass this subject.
