Preparatory seminar program to introduce students to current workplace practices in the dance industry and subsequent field experience with a dance organisation.

Intended learning outcomes

On completion of this subject the student should have gained experience within their chosen industry area eg a professional dance company, dance production and technical theatre, advocacy or administration.

Generic skills

On completion of this subject students should have acquired the following:

  • the ability for collaborative learning;
  • the capacity for teamwork;
  • the capacity to access, evaluate and analyse data from a range of sources.
