This subject will introduce students to various traditions in second language educational research. It will be structured around an investigation of several major research methodologies used in language education research, including the nature of second language education research, ethical approaches to research in second language education, using literature in second language education research, document-based approaches to second language education research, and practitioner based approaches to second language education research.
