The assessment requirements below are applicable to the entire 37.5-point Research Project
Assessment requirements:
- One thesis (90%) of approximately 10,000 words submitted at the end of the research, requiring approximately 600 hours of work. Supervisors will set mid-project milestones as a hurdle requirement to determine successful progress, requiring approximately 200 hours of work for presentations and milestones. These milestones are not a separate assessment but will form part of the thesis work. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) 1 to 5 are addressed in the thesis.
- Two oral presentations (10%):
- One project proposal presentation at the project proposal stage. The presentation should be conducted in the presence of the research project supervisors. ILOs 1 to 5 are addressed in the project proposal presentation. The project proposal presentation is a hurdle and must be passed to pass the subject.
- One final report presentation with the final report. ILOs 1 to 5 are addressed in the final report presentation. ILOs 1-5 are addressed in the final presentation. The final report presentation is a hurdle and must be passed to pass the subject.
