A minor thesis of 10,000 words on an approved research project.
Intended learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students should have:
- developed time management and planning, and written communication, through the design, development and writing of a piece of research in the area of Applied Linguistics;
- developed critical thinking and analysis through completing a critical review of previous research, data collection and analysis and coherent presentation of an extended piece of writing.
Generic skills
At the completion of this subject, students should:
- have developed research skills;
- have developed critical thinking and analytic skills;
- be able to communicate a complex research argument through writing.
